Where the
shade is.
Pick your city, season, and time of day. We compute the sun's position from standard astronomical formulas and cast shadows from a sample house, ramada, and trees onto a top-down property model. You'll see at a glance where a ramada helps, and where it won't.

How the simulator works
01
Sun moves predictably.
Every position is computed from standard solar-position formulas: your latitude, the day of year, and solar time.
02
Shade is asymmetric.
An east-facing patio is hot in the morning; a west-facing pool deck is hot in the evening. We plan shade around when you actually use the space.
03
Materials matter too.
Even in shade, dark stone holds more heat than light travertine. See the thermal lab for modeled surface temperatures across our materials.
